Adrian Gosden will step down as co-manager of the Artemis Income and High Income funds and leave the business later this month.

Adrian Frost has been at the helm of the Artemis Income Fund since January 2002 and will continue to co-manage the fund alongside Nick Shenton, who joined the UK equity income team in 2012. They will also continue to provide input on the Artemis High Income Fund and work closely with Alex Ralph, the other existing co-manager.

It was anticipated Adrian Gosden would ultimately succeed Adrian Frost as lead manager of the Income fund following his future retirement. While he has no imminent plan to retire, Artemis will seek to bolster the team over the coming years to ensure they have enough experience and talent to assume responsibility for the fund at this point.

Adrian Gosden has been an integral member of the UK equity income team since 2003. While it is disappointing to see an experienced member of the team leave, we rate Adrian Frost and the remaining team highly and have faith in their ability to perform without Adrian Gosden's input. We are confident they will find a suitable replacement and will keep in close contact with Artemis as the team adapt to this change.

The Artemis Income Fund remains on the Wealth 150+, while the Artemis High Income Fund remains on the Wealth 150.
